This is me. On a chair. On the chin of an ex-fireman. At Venice Beach.
But what does it have to do with your English Leadership communication?
Me holding on. Him letting go.
His quiet reassurances. The loud applause.
It was “the perfect balance”. For a few fleeting moments.
Balance.
A small word. That can surprisingly carry a lot of baggage.
Some say it doesn’t exist.
Others spend years looking for it.
But that man at Venice Beach, California… he found it.
Or rather he created it.
Through his system.
His system?
🔸 Building up and maintaining muscle strength, day after day.
🔸 Finding the best support he could for his pressure points.
🔸 Using the right tools: the appropriate weight of body and chair.
And his system produced results.
Each person in that audience was captivated.
He had travelled far beyond age, gender or nationality,
to reach his ultimate goal: IMPACT.
The key to impact in your English leadership communication also lies in a similar trusted system:
🔸 Choosing the right support and exploring new tools.
🔸 Building up self-trust and executive presence.
🔸 Knowing what to hold on to and when to let go.
To help you stand up, connect and leave your mark sustainably on minds.
So if there’s ONE thing to take away from this photo, it’s this:
Behind every meaningful impact, there’s a solid system calmly doing the heavy lifting.
Next steps:
Take a look at your system.
Is it default or intentionally designed? Is it working in the way you want?
When you find YOUR system, you find impact.
“Rather than dreaming of having something happen, why not create a system that is structured to make the result happen? Then all I have to do is follow the system, whether I feel like following it or not on various “emotional” days. Just follow it, and let the system guide the momentum”. Steve Chandler
